How to Prepare for Your Session
What to know for your session:

Be in a comfortable, private space;

Have a yoga mat, bolster, and blocks if you have them. Couches work great too!

Wear loose clothing;
-
Have a blanket or sweater handy;
-
Wear headphones (the sound will be much better!);
-
Refrain from eating or eat only light food between 1-1.5 hours before the session;
-
Create some spaciousness for aftercare, at least an hour to integrate and be gentle with yourself.


This is a safe practice, but there are some contraindications. They are:

History of Schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, or unmanaged PTSD

Heart Conditions

History of aneurysm
-
High blood pressure unmanaged, or low blood pressure with fainting

Respiratory conditions including COPD, Asthma
-
Currently undergoing medical treatment for life threatening illnesses

Epilepsy or history of seizures
-
Glaucoma or history of detached retina
-
Significant Osteoporosis
-
Pregnancy
-
Uncontrolled thyroid conditions or uncontrolled diabetes
-
Recent significantly distressful life event including recent illness or surgery
